Daytime road closures brought forward
- Published
Part of the A1104 between Mablethorpe and Alford will be closed during the daytime after repair works were brought forward, officials have confirmed.
Lincolnshire County Council said the road will be closed between 08:30 and16:30 GMT for up to three weeks on weekdays. The work will be subject to weather conditions.
The closures will affect parts of the A1104 and the A1031 with diversions in place.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said daytime will "ensure suitably warm temperatures", which is favourable for road laying.
She added: "Making this change now will help ensure the project stays on track for completion mid-December."
The closures will take place in the following locations:
A1104, just west of Willows Caravan Park to just east of the A1031
A1104 and the A1031 / Mile Road junction, with a diversion route via A1104 / A52 / A1111 / A1104, and vice versa.
Bus journey changes
As part of the daytime closures on the A1104, certain villages including Legbourne, South Reston, North Reston, Withern and Maltby le Marsh will not be served by the PC Coaches service 50. Those affected are asked to book onto the Callconnect bus service.
Schools buses travelling through the area will run as normal during the works.
