A key route into a city centre will be disrupted by roadworks ahead of Christmas.

Bitterne Road West in Southampton is closing for a week from Monday and commuters are being warned to expect delays.

Southampton City Council confirmed one lane of the road will be shut while highway teams complete the works.

A small part of Maybray King Way will also be impacted by the works, which are expected to finish by 14 December.
