A woman in her 70s has died in a house fire in a village in Oxfordshire.
Three fire crews from Bicester and Oxford were called to Oxford Close, Kirtlington, at 10:53 GMT on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said the nearby Oxford Road had been reopened, but a cordon would remain in place overnight and into tomorrow. They said officers would also remain at the scene.
Although the fire has been extinguished the force has appealed to residents to keep windows closed and avoid the area.
"There is not believed to be any wider threat to the public at this time," the spokesperson added.
