A popular winter ice rink in a Surrey town will not be taking place this year, according to its organisers.
Reigate on Ice, which has happened in November and December in Priory Park in the town for the past few years, has been called off for 2025 by its organisers, The Matthews Organisation.
A statement on the organisation's website said: "This has been an extremely difficult decision, and we know it will come as disappointing news to many who look forward to the rink as part of Reigate's festive season."
No reason has been given for the cancellation.
The undercover structure has been one of the largest temporary winter ice rinks outside of London, according to Reigate & Banstead Borough Council (RBBC).
As well as skating, the attraction in previous years also boasted rides, food stalls, a bar, live music and fireworks.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: "Over the years, Reigate on Ice has become a cherished community event bringing families, friends, and neighbours together to celebrate the magic of Christmas and we're incredibly proud of what it has meant to so many.
"We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us, helping to make Reigate on Ice such a special part of Reigate's winter celebrations.
A RBBC spokesperson said: "We understand that many people will be disappointed by the decision not to run Reigate on Ice this year.
"We remain open to considering options to provide a Christmas ice rink in Reigate in future years."
