An art competition has been launched in Surrey in honour of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe.
The project is open to schools and care homes across Runnymede borough.
The theme of "harmony and friendship amongst nations" is designed to encourage participants to express how countries can unite in peace.
Elaine Gill, mayor of Runnymede, said: "We hope to bring our community together with international friends in a meaningful way and ensure that those friendships last well into the future."
VE Day - which stands for Victory in Europe Day - is marked on 8 May.
It was the day in 1945 near the end of World War Two when fighting against Germany in Europe stopped.
Ms Gill said: "VE Day is a moment for us to reflect on history, honour the sacrifices of those who came before us and be glad that in the intervening decades our former foes have now become strong friends."
Applicants are asked to get creative as submissions can take any form, from paintings and sculptures to collages or even garden displays.
There are four categories to enter - infants, juniors, seniors and care homes.
Winners in each category will receive a £150 prize and a commemorative plaque.
The competition closes on 4 April.
