Two arrested after crash leaves man injured

Two men have been arrested following a crash involving a car and a motorbike which left a man needing hospital treatment with non-life threatening injuries, police have said.

Emergency services including Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended the scene on Cricklade Road in Swindon, shortly before 12:30 BST on Friday.

Wiltshire Police said a 17-year-old man had been arrested on charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 44-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and both remain in police custody, the force added.

Police said the man was taken to hospital sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The 17-year-old suspect faces additional charges including affray and theft of a motor vehicle, and suspicion of driving without a licence or insurance, police said.
