A60 shut in both directions after man hurt in crash

The A60 in Nottinghamshire has been closed in both directions following a crash involving a van and lorry.

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to the scene at 08:33 BST on Wednesday.

A man has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries", the force said.

The force warned the road had been closed between Mansfield and Ravenshead and was expected to remain shut "for some time" while an investigation takes place.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had also attended the collision, which it said was near to Portland College.
