Man, 25, in court accused of murder on Livingston street

A 25-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man on a street in Livingston.
Gary Nicol, 50, died at the scene after being found with serious injuries in the Bankton Lane area of the West Lothian town on 26 September.
Connor Manners made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court.
Mr Nicol's death was initially treated as unexplained, but Police Scotland launched a murder inquiry following an investigation by specialist officers.
The body was found at 02:00 close to woodland, near Williamston Primary School.
Forensic officers searched the woodland and gathered CCTV footage from the local area.
Police arrested Mr Manners last Friday. He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear again in court next week.
