Appeal after man found seriously injured in park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured at a park in East Sussex.

The man, aged in his 40s, was found unconscious in a green space known as Fish Park, in Brighton, at about 14:20 GMT on Thursday.

Sussex Police said the man was was assessed at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital.

He has since been discharged.

The force urged anyone who could assist their investigation or with CCTV footage of the Fish Park area to come forward.
