A motorcyclist killed in a Lincolnshire village at the weekend has been named as Gary Skellett.

The 61-year-old collided with a car in Witham on the Hill, near Bourne, at about 12:00 GMT on Sunday.

His family described him as a "gentle soul with a generous heart, always ready to help anyone in need".

Gary's family said he was a "beloved" grandad, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law and, above all, "the most cherished Dad".

"Many will remember him from his racing days, where he was not only one of the best but also a mentor, always willing to share his wisdom and lend a helping hand."

They added: "Some people walk to the pearly gates, but legends ride."
