A secondary school will be knocked down and rebuilt in a bid to offer "pupils the best environment for learning".
Under the plans, Lawn Manor Academy's, in Swindon, Wiltshire, new building could open in late 2027.
Funding will come from the government's flagship rebuilding programme, which 500 schools are set to benefit from.
Headteacher Sandra Muir said: “The current buildings were built in 1964 and whilst we have known that we would be part of the programme since 2022, it’s great that it’s now our turn."
The site will include new sports and performing facilities, which are designed to be net zero.
“This is a very exciting time for Lawn Manor Academy and we’re looking forward to working with the Department for Education to create a new school building that will give our pupils the best possible environment for learning.
"As well as facilities that we can also open up to the local community," Ms Muir added.
A spokesperson for the school has said there will not be any disruption to classes whilst the new school is being built.
