A 32-year-old man has appeared in Court charged with murder after the death of a woman at a house in the Riddrie area of Glasgow.

Mark Keel appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court and made no plea.

Maxine Clark, 36, was found by emergency services at the property in Tummel Street at about 19:40 on Thursday.

It is claimed he repeatedly struck and stamped on her head and body.

Mr Keel has been committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

He is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
