Thousands of customers of Guernsey Water who have a cesspit can now access an online portal to find out about collection dates.
The firm said customers would also be sent email notifications when collections were made, if there were issues with access or if a collection was not required.
It said the portal was available to all 5,500 cesspit customers.
In the summer, some residents criticised new charges aimed at cutting down on the problem of missed cesspit collections.
'Massive difference'
"This [portal] gives the customer access to information about their service in a simple and easy process", said Andrea Simpson, business change manager.
"As we start to enter the Christmas season, we tend to get an increasing number of calls as people start to arrange their plans for the holiday season."
Ms Simpson advised customers to sign up to get "complete visibility" of the schedule.
She said the portal and the email notifications were "a real step change in the cesspit service, putting information about your cesspit in your hands – exactly where it belongs".
"We will be adding enhancements to this portal in 2025, and are hopeful it will make a massive difference to all cesspit customers."
