Man seriously injured in shooting

Police said there was no "wider threat" to the public after a man was shot in Hartlepool

A man has suffered serious injuries in a shooting.
Officers were called to Garside Drive in Hartlepool, just after 14:15 GMT on Thursday to reports of a man with gunshot wounds.
Cleveland Police said its inquiries were focused on a number of addresses in the area and it did not believe there was a "wider threat" to the public.
The force also said there would be a larger police presence in the area to reassure the public.
