A man in his 60s has been badly hurt in a stabbing in a city, police said.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries which could be life-threatening after the attack in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to Victoria Road at about 09:15 BST on Saturday after reports of the stabbing, Staffordshire Police said.

A second man, aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with injuries which could be life-changing, they added. He was later arrested on suspicion of wounding.
