Two men have been charged over the 2023 death of a man in Doncaster.

Jason Gaskin, a 53-year-old father of five, died after being found unconscious with head injuries outside Park Social Working Men's Club in Balby on 29 October 2023.

After a long-running police investigation and appeals from his family, South Yorkshire Police confirmed two men had now been charged.

Jake Wells, 27, of Balby, has been charged with manslaughter, and James Neeson, 49, also of Balby, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

The men are due to appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information in connection with Mr Gaskin's death to come forward.
