E-scooter rider seriously injured in car collision

The rider of an electric scooter has been seriously injured in a collision with a car.
Emergency services were called to Maskew Avenue Retail Park in Peterborough at 11:15 BST on Wednesday.
Cambridgeshire Police said the vehicles had been travelling in the same direction near the Aldi store towards the roundabout with Bourges Boulevard.
A 57-year-old man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge while the car driver, a 63-year-old woman, was said to be assisting detectives with inquiries.
Sgt Jamie Cooper said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to come forward, especially any people walking nearby or those with dashcams which may have captured the build-up to the collision."
