A walker was rescued after she tripped and suffered a "very nasty" ankle injury near Bamford in Derbyshire.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team said it was called to Bamford Edge on Thursday morning after the woman got into difficulties.

They were guided to the woman after she was able to give them a detailed grid reference of her location.

Her leg ankle was splinted and she was carried by stretcher to a waiting ambulance.
