Road closures as three-day fair returns to town
- Published
Rides and stalls are set to take over a Derbyshire town centre for a three-day fair.
The Chestnut Fair will return to Long Eaton on Thursday 21 November and run until Saturday 23 November.
It will be "one of the final big street fairs" of the year in Erewash, the borough council said.
The authority added road closures would be in place in the town from 18 November until 00:00 GMT the following Sunday.
The fair will be located along the High street and through to Market Place in the town centre, while the Beaconsfield car park will be closed.
Long Eaton will also host a Christmas lights switch-on event on 28 November.
Nearby Ilkeston's switch-on will take place on 29 November, with both events taking place between 17:30 and 20:30, Erewash Borough Council said.
