Man, 25, who died in Fort William named by police

A man who died in an incident in Fort William has been named by police as 25-year-old Ben Campbell.

Police were called to the town's Grange Road at about 21:55 on Thursday.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

A statement from Mr Campbell's family said: "He was a much-loved brother, son and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him".

Det Insp Calum Reid said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time and our officers will continue to support them as the investigation continues.

"I'm aware this incident will be of concern to the local community, but I would like to reassure the public that additional patrols are in the area as part of the ongoing investigation and there is no wider threat to the community."
