There were plenty of spooky happenings at the Paisley Halloween Festival with one reveller dressing up as Beetlejuice

Graham Christie, from Helensburgh spotted this little egret wading in Rhu Bay on the Gairloch

A waterfall on the River North Esk near Edzell. The water is surrounded by autumnal colours of red, brown and orange from trees on the banks of the river. Jamie Vince was lucky enough to capture one giant leap for this salmon at the falls on the River North Esk, near Edzell. "There were dozens of salmon all fighting hard against the raging torrent to make it upstream to spawn," he said.

Susan Gordon, from Aberdeen, stumbled across this "beautiful beast" while playing at Brora Golf Course in the Highlands. "It didn’t help my game any, but was a lovely sight to behold," she said.

Craigellachie Bridge over the River Spey in Moray. The bridge has two stone towers with turrets at either end in a light coloured stone. The bridge is made of cast iron and has dark coloured struts coming from the top to the bottom. Alastair Bruce stumbled across this abandoned train at the Milton of Crathes Deeside Railway. He said: "Having not moved for some time the engine had blended into its surroundings and its rusting body complemented the vibrant russet colours of the Autumn foliage, spectacularly enhanced by the fading sunshine."
