A 56-year-old woman died when a motorbike and tractor were involved in a collision.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A458 in Rowton, Shrewsbury, at about 18:27 BST on Sunday.
An off-duty nurse performed CPR on the woman, who was riding the motorbike, before crews took over, but she died at the scene, the ambulance service said.
A 59-year-old man, who was also riding the motorbike, was seriously injured and airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses or people who have relevant dashcam footage.
