Man jailed for stabbing victim in head and back

A man has been jailed for stabbing a man and causing serious injuries to his brain, face and back.
Harly Malinowski, 20, from Thorntons Way in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, had denied wounding with intent and possession of a knife.
He was found guilty by a jury at Warwick Crown Court on Friday and sentenced to eight years.
The stabbing, which happened on 12 April in Mendip Drive, is likely to leave the victim with long-term effects from his injuries, Warwickshire Police said.
Investigating officer DC Kelly, said: "I welcome the eight-year sentence handed to Malinowski and I hope the victim feels as though they have got justice.
"I commend the victim's bravery throughout the judicial process."
