Late night skygazers were treated to the sight of the harvest moon in Northern Ireland.

Wednesday's display also coincided with a rare partial lunar eclipse, which is next expected to take place in August 2026.

There are only four supermoons each year.

This one is dubbed the harvest moon because it occurs around the time of year people used to gather crops in the northern hemisphere.
