Four men have been arrested after a gun and swords were found in a car pulled over by police.
The West Midlands force said that on Monday officers were alerted to a vehicle being driven dangerously on the Black Country Route, in Wolverhampton.
As well as a live handgun and the swords being found in the car, more than 50 rounds of ammunition were also seized by the officers from the firearms and traffic units.
The men were later detained on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent, possession of a knife and assault.
The force said it was continuing its work to tackle serious and organised crime in the West Midlands as part of Operation Target, its campaign "targeting everything from firearms and drugs to fraud and exploitation".
