October trial for trio accused of teen's murder

Three men accused of stabbing a teenager to death will stand trial for murder in October.

Eddie Kinuthia, 19, was attacked on 21 July, 2023, close to his home in the Grosvenor Road area of St Pauls, Bristol.

Zachariah Young, 26, of Easton, Paul Hayden, 21, of Hanham and Cartell Williams, 28, of no fixed abode, are accused of his murder.

The three defendants have yet to enter their pleas but at a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Friday a trial was listed for 6 October.

A fourth man, Remi Hitchcock, 30, of Tudor Road in Easton, Bristol, is accused of assisting an offender between 21 and 23 July 2023, which he denies.

Mr Young and Mr Hayden face two further charged of attempted murder and attempted murder relating to a separate incident on 2 February 2024.
