A blue tent has been erected at the entrance to the property.

Neighbourhood teams have increased patrols in the area, said the force.

Det Insp Clare Gibson said there was no wider risk to the public and called for any potential witnesses to make contact.

She said: "Our thoughts at this time remain with the victim's family.

"At this stage, we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk."

Insp Steve Dalby, neighbourhood policing inspector for Clifton, added: “This is a tragic incident and my officers’ priority is to support the community while investigations continue.

“We have increased patrols in the area which I hope has provided some reassurance.

"Please don’t hesitate to speak to any of our officers as they are there to help."
