Several schools across Cornwall have closed for the day after snow led to disruption.

A yellow weather warning for snow was issued by the Met Office and came into force at 05:00 GMT on Thursday and will remain active until 15:00.

Cornwall Council said Callington Community College, Pensilva School and St Breward Community Primary School have shut for the day.

The Met Office said driving conditions could be dangerous and has urged motorists to allow "extra time".
