Part of the A3 in Surrey will be closed overnight again this weekend as major roadworks continue.

The closures will affect the A3 southbound from junction 10 (Wisley) of the M25 to the A247 at Send, and northbound from the B2215 at Send to junction 10 of the M25.

They will be in place from 22:00 GMT on Saturday until 06:00 on Sunday, and again from 22:00 on Sunday until 06:00 on Monday.

National Highways has put diversions in place during these times. A full list of routes can be found on its website.

A spokesperson said: "Please remember that closures can change at short notice.

"You can check the latest information on our daily closures page or find live travel information on our Traffic England website."

Work at junction 10, which is the busiest section of the M25 with more than 300,000 vehicles passing each day, began in 2022 and aims to reduce congestion and increase safety.

Engineers are adding a new lane to the A3 at its junction with the M25, with work set to finish in the spring at a cost of roughly £317m.
