Man dies after getting into difficulty in river

A 65-year-old man has died after getting into difficulty in a Highland river.

Emergency services were called to the River Farrar in Glen Strathfarrar, south of Inverness, at about 14:20 on Saturday.

Coastguard teams, a search helicopter and police along with ambulance and fire crews were called out on Saturday.

Police Scotland said police divers recovered the man's body from the river on Sunday. A spokesperson said his family had been informed and there were no suspicious circumstances.
