A main road in Guernsey is set to be closed for 12 weeks due to water works.
Rectory Hill will close from 4 March while Guernsey Water continued its £11m work to install a new ring main for the northern parishes.
Guernsey Water said the ring main acted like a motorway of the water network, which maintained supply and pressure to a growing island.
Carl Falla, Capital Delivery Manager, said: "This essential island infrastructure will secure sufficient and resilient water supplies for the Northern Parishes for decades to come.
"With increased growth and development across the island, failing to carry out this work now could result in pressure drops, and even a loss of supply to thousands in future."
This phase of the works will involve 400m (1,312ft) of new pipework being installed under the public highway, following on from the first complex section of the installation which was completed in December 2024.
