A second boy has been charged with murder and arson with intent to endanger life after a 76-year-old man died in a house fire in east London.

Robert Price's body was discovered in his home in Oval Road North, Dagenham, on 27 July.

A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as inhalation of fire fumes and burns.

The second boy, a 16-year-old, was charged on Sunday and is due to appear at Barkingside Youth Court on Monday.

A 17-year-old boy was previously charged with murder and arson with intent to endanger life last Tuesday.

He appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday and was remanded into custody to appear at the same court for a plea hearing on 18 October.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information in relation to the fire.
