Eighteen keyless vehicles were stolen from one county in the last four months, detectives said.

Cambridgeshire Police said all the thefts took place overnight and usually in the early hours of the morning when people slept.

The majority were Range Rovers and Land Rovers.

Det Sgt Justin Parr, from the force's Acquisitive Crime Team (ACT), asked people to be vigilant and said: "Report any suspicious activity to us."

Twelve thefts happened in Peterborough, four in Huntingdonshire and two in Fenland.

The force said a total of 25 keyless vehicles were stolen when including incidents in neighbouring counties: three from Boughton in Northamptonshire, two from Stamford, Lincolnshire, one from Skegness, Lincolnshire and one from Haverhill, Suffolk.
