Jersey inflation falls to 5%, figures show

Inflation has fallen to 5% in Jersey.
The rate was revealed in the latest Retail Prices Index (RPI) report, external published on Wednesday.
The government said it measured the change from quarter to quarter in the price of the goods and services purchased by an average household on the island.
In March, Jersey's inflation rate was 5.7%.
The latest figures showed inflation had more than halved since the height of the cost of living crisis.
Grocery bills have risen by 2% since last June - including a slight fall in food prices during the past three months.
Meanwhile, the cost of housing has increased more than the cost of any other goods and services.
Housing prices have increased by 7.3% over the past year - although this has dropped from 11% in March.
