Jude Bellingham has been praised online for taking a photo of his mother with her crush Jose Mourinho following Real Madrid's latest Champions League triumph.

Bellingham told the former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss "my mum's fancied you for years" after the 20-year-old helped secure victory over Borussia Dortmund in the final.

After Bellingham seized the opportunity to get a picture, one man said "this is beautiful" on X, while a woman on the social media platform wrote "she must be a proud mum".

In Spain, the Stourbridge-born footballer was voted La Liga's player of the season and ended his first campaign at the club with 23 goals in all competitions and the league title.

He set up the second goal as the Spanish giants beat one of his former clubs, Borussia Dortmund, 2-0 in the Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday.

Bellingham, who turns 21 at the end of June, placed his winner's medal around his mother Denise's neck and she responded by kissing her son.

He then led her onto the pitch so she could have a picture with Mourinho, the new coach of Turkish club Fenerbahce, who was working for broadcaster TNT Sports.

One woman stated on X that "Jude saying that his mum's fancied Jose Mourinho for years and wanted a photo with him is class".

Another said: "Love this."

One man commented: "Funny moment that, Jude asking Mourinho if his mum can have a picture. Wholesome."

The England midfielder is now due to link up with the Three Lions on Saturday to prepare for Euro 2024.

The former Birmingham City player once attended Hagley Primary School in Worcestershire.

The Jude Bellingham mural, the work of Gent 48, a well-known street artist in Digbeth, Birmingham, is on the wall of the Ryemarket centre in Stourbridge.
