A crash between a lorry and a car that overturned forced the closure of part of the M6 for more than five hours.
Emergency services were dealing with the collision between junctions two and three, near Coventry.

The extent of any injuries in the crash was not immediately known.
Warwickshire Police also confirmed that the motorway had re-opened by mid-afternoon.
Those caught up in the resulting traffic included rugby league fans heading to Wembley for the Challenge Cup final, with one person posting on X, external that he had been stuck on the motorway “for over an hour”.
