Road racing fans have been sharing their joy after Michael Dunlop claimed his record-breaking 27th Isle of Man TT win.
The 35-year-old from Northern Ireland broke his late uncle Joey's record of 26 wins, which had stood since 2000, by taking victory in Wednesday's first Supertwin race.
Paul Newis, originally from Birmingham but now living on the island, said he had been waiting for record to be broken "for years".
"This means a lot to me, a lot to all his fans, we're thrilled for him, we're thrilled for the Dunlop dynasty", he said.
Marion Evans, who was visiting the island from Wales, said it was "absolutely magnificent" to see Dunlop win, especially as it was the last race she would get to see before heading home.
Racing fans have descended on the Isle of Man from all over the world for the 2024 races, including Judith Rotgers van Gelder, who travelled from the Netherlands.
She said Dunlop was a "great rider who we love a lot" who was "very respectful" of his family's legacy.
Fellow Dutch fan Eva de Groot said she expected the Ballymoney racer to "of course" win again and further extend his record.
For some, the visit to the TT came with the expectation of seeing a new chapter in the celebrated Dunlop family legend being written.
John O'Donnell, from Donegal, described the 35-year-old as "one of our own".
He said: "I just wanted to be here, we knew history was going to be made.
"Michael's here, this is his season, it's his week and we knew it was going to be happening."
Dunlop has five more chances at increasing his tally of wins at the 2024 Isle of Man TT.
The event, which started on 27 May, is scheduled to culminate with the Senior TT race on Saturday.
