Police are investigating reports of a shooting in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police was called to Mulberry Avenue at about 23:00 GMT on Saturday after a firearm was reportedly discharged.
Officers say the driver's side of a stationary car was shot, but a man in his 30s, who was in the car, was not injured.
No arrests have so far been made.
A police spokesperson said: "Our investigation to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding this incident is still in its early stages.
"Luckily no-one was injured as a result of this incident but it is still being treated as a very serious offence and we currently have a team of officers dedicated to this investigation."
Officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries and offering reassurance to residents in the area, they added.
