Free leisure passes return to help food bank users

Popular free leisure passes have made a comeback to help people who use food banks.
The "Feed Cheltenham" pass is being relaunched this year as a response to the cost of living crisis.
These passes enable people to gain access to more swim and gym classes, as well as soft play sessions.
Linda Grice who leads the #FeedCheltenham movement said: "Trying to make ends meet during the cost of living crisis is no easy feat, which is why I’m delighted this card will continue to remove barriers for people looking to boost their health and wellbeing."
Councillor Max Wilkinson added: “I’m a huge believer in the power of physical activity to change people’s physical and mental health, so I’m really pleased that so many people are using this scheme."
The passes have helped more than 150 people so far.
Cheltenham residents who use food banks are being offered a chance to renew their annual pass and new subscribers are encouraged by Cheltenham Borough Council through invitation.
The invitation cards can be be taken to Leisure at Cheltenham where they can be exchanged for a free 12 months #FeedCheltenham pass.
