Public parking arrangements in the area of the grandstand during the Isle of Man TT races have been overhauled.

Under the changes, only motorcycles, blue badge and hospitality ticket holders and those with designated passes will be allowed to park in Noble’s Park.

Parking for all other cars will be at St George’s Car Park, adjacent to police headquarters.

The changes are a result of Douglas Council, which owns Noble’s Park, reducing the amount of space that can be used as a car park during the event.

The new arrangements, just off Dukes Avenue, will only be accessible via the Victoria Road route, as access from Glencrutchery Road will be shut off to all but police vehicles.

As in previous years, a one-way down St Ninian’s Road will be in operation to help traffic flow around the area.

TT organisers have urged those planning to attend the grandstand to use public transport to get there when possible.

A taxi drop off and pick-up point has also been introduced in Noble’s Park for the period.

The Isle of Man TT races are scheduled to take place between 27 May and 8 June.
