Police have updated their description of a suspect in a burglary during which a service station staff member was injured.

Guernsey Police said: "The suspect is described as a white male, who was wearing dark clothing and had a dark coloured rucksack.

"The perpetrator’s face was largely covered by a pulled down beanie or similar."

Officers said inquiries were continuing into the aggravated burglary that took place between 03:30 and 03:45 BST on Tuesday at the Vale Service Station.

Officer said: "He attempted to steal items from the safe before leaving on foot in the direction of Route Des Coutures."

Crimestoppers has offered a £750 reward for information leading to the arrest, charge, and conviction of the offender.
