A replica of an historic Spanish galleon which has traversed the globe has docked in North Yorkshire.
The 160ft Galeón Andalucía is a floating museum, whose design is based on ships which sailed between the 16th and 19th centuries.
The ships criss-crossed the Atlantic Ocean to establish trade between Spain, America and the Philippines.
Photographer Bryan Ledgard, who captured the images of the ship at Whitby, said it was "a spectacular sight".

The boat, which was built in 2009, weighs about 500 tonnes and boasts sails, which combine to a total of 11,000sq ft.
Mr Ledgard added: "It is amazing to know that it has travelled over 48,000 nautical miles around the world.
"A truly impressive craft."
In Whitby, the vessel will be open to visitors who have bought tickets from10 July until 15 July.
It will then move to Scarborough where visitors can explore the craft from 17 July to 22 July.
