Man, 19, arrested after pedestrian hit by car

A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
It happened at 22:55 BST on Friday on the A508 Harborough Road in Northampton.
A man in his 70s was crossing the road opposite the Whitehills pub when he was hit by a white Volkswagen Golf.
A 19-year-old man from Leicestershire was arrested following the collision.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or was in the area at the time and has dashcam footage, to contact them, external.
