A crown court was forced to close after problems with its heating and fire alarm.
HM Courts and Tribunals Service said Nottingham Crown Court "temporarily closed" on Thursday due to the issues, with trials that had been due to run adjourned as a result.
In a statement, it said maintenance work was "taking place to restore the systems as soon as possible", with the court expected to be open as normal on Friday.
It also confirmed some courtrooms had been closed on Wednesday due to "issues with a boiler".
