Arrest over weapon incident outside GP surgery

An arrest has been made after reports of a disturbance outside a GP surgery involving a man with a bow and arrow.

Police were called to Foden Street, Stoke, at about 16:30 BST on Tuesday.

Armed officers searched the area and found a bow. A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

No-one was hurt during the incident, said Staffordshire Police, and the suspect remains in custody.
