Travel disruption due to flooding and strong winds

Guernsey Police has issued a warning to islanders after flooding across the island.
The force said due to adverse weather conditions motorists have been advised to "drive with caution as many roads are flooded with standing water and fallen debris".
It said South Esplanade was blocked with water and the road has been closed to pedestrians and all traffic.
Guernsey Airport said due to the strong winds and heavy sleet on Thursday morning airlines had "suspended operations" which had resulted in delays.
At about 14:15 GMT the airport said on social media operations had resumed following an "improvement in the weather conditions".
It said: "For anyone scheduled to travel today, please note that there will be knock-on delays to flights due to the severe weather experienced today.
"Please check in as normal, monitor the latest flight information for updates and contact your airline directly if you have any specific queries regarding your travel."
Duty harbourmaster Kieran Higgs, from Guernsey Harbours, said weather conditions had proved "even more disruptive as they were coupled with morning high tide".
He reminded boat owners to ensure their vessels were "properly secured, particularly ahead of severe weather conditions".
Jersey Met said the weather in Guernsey was "cloudy with rain or sleet".
It said it would clear to "scattered showers, perhaps heavy with hail".
