Grants of up to £1,500 are available for groups which help households

A council has launched a new fund to help households who are struggling with cost of living pressures.

Warwick District Council said the grant was for initiatives including those that can help with activities and food provision during school holidays, supply food and household essentials, and those that support people to access services.

Not-for-profit organisations, community groups and Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) can apply for a grant of up to £1,500.

“We are very aware of the impact that the cost of living crisis continues to have on the most vulnerable groups in our community," said Jim Sinnott, portfolio holder for communities and leisure.

"These grants will help organisations who are at the heart of our communities provide support to those that really need it, so I’d encourage any groups and organisations eligible to apply.”

Schemes which support people's mental health and wellbeing and help them with finances are also among those which could benefit.
