Two arrested over £1m cocaine seizure in East Renfrewshire

Two men have been arrested and £1m of cocaine seized by police after a raid at a house in East Renfrewshire.
The drugs were found in a search of the property in Carleton Drive, Giffnock, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police Scotland said two men, aged 29 and 35, had been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
They are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident two men, aged 29 and 58, were arrested after officers recovered £100,000 of cannabis on the A74(M) near Lockerbie.
The pair were stopped in a Toyota Yaris at about 18:40 on Wednesday. They are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
Det Supt Stevie Elliot said: “These significant recoveries highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality.
“We will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer."
