An amusement arcade at a Norfolk pier could double in size if plans for an extension are granted permission.
Family Amusements Ltd, which owns the Wellington Pier in Great Yarmouth, has submitted plans to develop derelict land.
The site was formerly an outdoor roller skating rink which was popular in the 1960s with competitions held in summer seasons.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council's planning committee will decide on the application at a future date.

Family Amusements Ltd wants to expand the existing arcade by making use of the derelict roller skating rink site

The derelict roller skating rink could be redeveloped into an expanded amusement arcade
A statement made in the application said the extension would increase the floorspace of the amusement arcade, and argued it would not be detrimental to the local heritage, including the nearby Winter Gardens.
It read: "It could be said that the existing modern amusement building has a major impact on the conservation area setting and the adjacent Grade II* listed building.
"However, the proposed extension now located on the southern side is completely hidden from view from the Winter Garden.
"The form of the extension will blend into the environment which is dominated by the host building and will also be screened from South Beach Parade, hidden behind the café buildings along the street frontage."

In May, the council approved plans to remodel the facade of the Britannia Pier on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile
Plans to redevelop the facade of the Britannia Pier, which is about a mile north of the Wellington Pier, were approved by Great Yarmouth Borough Council in May.
Triangle Amusements Ltd bought the lease on the Britannia Pier from Family Amusements Ltd in December 2022, and immediately set about investing in the landmark structure.
Its anticipates starting work on the frontage at the end of the 2024 summer season with a view to having the project completed for Easter 2025.
