Police investigating a report of a teenage girl being threatened by an unknown man want to talk to three people they are treating as witnesses.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was approached at about 08:00 BST on 16 October in an alley along Maple Drive, near Packham Way, in Burgess Hill, Sussex Police said.
The force said it was keen to trace "specific witnesses" who may have been in the area at the time: the driver of an orange car, a man out running, and another man delivering leaflets.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, with blue eyes, stubble, a leather jacket worn over a white hooded top, and blue jeans.
The girl reported being approached by a man not known to her and threatened before she ran away.
Det Sgt Mark Williams, from Sussex Police, said: "We understand the concern this incident has caused and we are taking it very seriously.
"We continue to urge anyone in the area with relevant CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward if they have not already done so."
